Wilmington Country Club is currently preparing to host the 2022 BMW Championship. In association with architect Andrew Green, renovations and additions are on-going to the Robert Trent Jones, Sr. designed South Course with the installation of Capillary Concrete to all bunker complexes and teeing grounds to contest the top 70 players on the PGA TOUR.
Wilmington Country Club continues to be one of the finest private country clubs in the United States, with a primary emphasis on meeting the desires of its members, their families and their personal guests. The Club’s property encompasses 335 acres, consisting of 36-holes of golf and practice areas, including the Dick Wilson designed North Course; racquets amenities with clay courts, grass courts, hard courts, paddle courts and squash courts.

Education: A four-year or two-year degree in Turf Management or similar field preferred.
Experience requirements: The candidate will have experience with irrigation and hand watering; chemical and fertilizer applications and calibration. The applicant should have proficiency in the use of varying computer programming and app-based software.
The ideal candidate will have had experience leading small crews including Spanish speaking abilities. Include any knowledge with surveying, heavy equipment operation and construction.
Position Description: The Grounds Department maintains a strong team centric atmosphere with emphasis on promoting from within, and placing assistants into superintendent roles managing our two golf courses or external opportunities. The successful candidate will gain experience with all facets of golf management, to include budgeting and project management. An example of this will include further tournament preparations in the fall of 2021; a tee through green renovation of the North Course, including a campus wide irrigation installation.
