VT Research Classic & Field Day Recap

The Virginia Tech Research Classic and Field Day was another successful event, grossing over $58K in revenue thanks to our incredible sponsors. Harrell’s and Landscape Supply came in at the top level, each being $5K Hokie Sponsors. Kicking off the day was the field day on the short course known as The Bear with representatives from the VT School of Plant and Environmental Sciences showing off their latest research. Over 50 VGCSA members were in attendance for the morning field day prior to the annual golf tournament.

The golf tournament was next up with 112 players in attendance. The weather was perfect, and Dan Taylor and his staff had the golf course in pristine shape making for a most enjoyable afternoon. The golf event began with short announcements and the traditional long putt challenge before the 12 Noon shotgun start. The format was a four-person scramble with gross and net prizes in addition to prizes for CTPs, long drives, and longest putts made on designated holes. Here are the results.
