Golf superintendents – do you have employees that have demonstrated they are anxious to grow professionally and personally in their jobs at your facility? Would you like to reward them and promote them within the industry? Then, consider enrolling them in the 4th annual virtual Virginia Tech School of Turfgrass Ecology and Management. School opens online this year on Nov 4 and runs through Feb 14, 2024. The program features synchronous and asynchronous training by way of videos, book chapters, pre and post-training quizzes, and weekly Zoom meetings on Wed. evenings with the VT Turfgrass Team. Successful students will have the opportunity to sit for the Virginia Cooperative Extension Certified Turfgrass Professional Exams next March. The cost is only $600 for an educational experience comparable to a traditional credit-hour class at a 2-year or 4-year school. Contact Mike Goatley at goatley@vt.edu with any other questions.
