2026 Korn Ferry Tour Championship Volunteer Recruitment Begins

The Federal Club team is excited to officially begin volunteer recruitment for the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Championship, being held from October 5–11, 2026.

This season-ending event features the top 60 players in the Korn Ferry Tour standings, with the top 20 earning their PGA TOUR cards for the following year (#TOURBound). It’s a tremendous event that includes four days of fierce competition, live TV coverage, practice rounds, and a Pro-Am in the days leading up to the championship — a huge opportunity for The Federal Club, the Korn Ferry Tour, and the state of Virginia golf.

To meet tournament expectations, the Tour has asked the club to nearly double their agronomy staff, with a goal of 20+ volunteers throughout tournament week. This is a great opportunity for superintendents, assistant superintendents, equipment managers, crew members, turf students, and industry partners to be part of a nationally recognized professional golf event and work alongside peers from across the region. Regardless of skill level, there will be a role that fits your experience.

What volunteers can expect:
  • Official tournament uniform and volunteer gift package
  • Meals, snacks, and drinks during volunteer shifts
  • Hands-on Korn Ferry Tour Championship experience
  • A strong résumé-builder and networking opportunity
  • A behind-the-scenes look at tournament agronomy and event preparation
One-day volunteers are certainly appreciated; however, the club strongly prefers volunteers who can commit to the entire week. If your course would like to rotate staff to help cover the full week, it will be appreciated.

For volunteers traveling longer distances, there are limited hotel and/or Airbnb accommodations available. A full-week commitment (including Saturday and Sunday) is required to qualify for lodging.
