VGCSA Board Update: Sod Production Services Hires Neil Jones as Director of Sales

CHARLES CITY, VA (Sept. 29, 2026): Sod Production Services welcomes Neil Jones as Director of Sales. In this role, Jones will consult with sod farms located east of the Mississippi River to license and produce the firm’s proprietary turfgrasses, including Tahoma 31 and Endarra 81 bermudagrasses,
 
“Neil has vast experience in the golf turf field. As a former golf course superintendent with nearly 10 years of experience in turfgrass sod sales, Neil will be a great asset to help our sod farm customers produce and market some of the world’s most drought-resistant proprietary grasses for use on golf courses, sports fields, home lawns and parks,” said Chad Adcock, VP of Business Development for Sod Production Services.
 
A native of Williamsburg, Virginia, Jones graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Agronomy. He started his career in the green industry as a teen when he took a job as a golf course laborer. Later, after earning his turf degree, he spent nearly 7 years as the golf course superintendent at Williamsburg National Golf Club. Jones joins SPS after nearly a decade as a Senior Territory Manager for Buy Sod.
